I joined Nailsea in 2019 after relocating back to South Wales, having previously taught in Cornwall. My primary subject is Physical Education, and I am keen to instil the values of teamwork, honesty and effort developed through sport, into the house ethos.
I have relished the opportunity to work at Nailsea, due its supportive, caring and inclusive nature as a school. I am proud to be the Head of Dragon House, working with such a dedicated and caring tutor team, who aim to support our Dragon members on their journey to realising their full potential, both academically and personally.
Members of Dragon House are proud ambassadors of their community, they always look out for one another, demonstrating tolerance, empathy and inclusivity.
I joined Nailsea School in 2022 having taught English in North Somerset and Bristol for over twenty-two years.
Having had the privilege of working in a variety of aspects of school life I look forward to using these skills with the students at Nailsea, helping them to realise their full potential academically and emotionally.
School is a once in a lifetime opportunity. My responsibility is to ensure that our students are happy, safe and supported as they journey through this part of their education and life with us.
I joined Nailsea School in 2010 as an English teacher, and now have over 20 years’ experience teaching Secondary students across all age groups.
I love teaching and alongside that I have a keen interest in pastoral care and pupil development, seeing these three things as completely intertwined. It’s essential that students find me accessible and it is my responsibility to find ways of getting to know them and support them both in and out of the classroom.
I’m proud to be Head of Phoenix House, working with a great team of talented and caring tutors to help all the students in our house realise their full potential both academically and personally.
I joined Nailsea School this academic year and already feel very welcome and at home. I am driven to ensure that every child in my care is also made to feel welcome and at home and supported to achieve their full potential.
I have really high expectations of myself and those I am here to serve. I strive to lead by example and am grateful for the extraordinary support of our fantastic tutors. Unicorn House seeks to be a kind and nurturing place that seeks to develop aspiring students with an excellent work ethic.
I really believe in the power of good communication between home and school and see this as crucial to seeing students thrive in their education and personal lives. Please keep me and your tutors informed of student’s successes both in and out of School so they can be celebrated.
