A safe space for quiet reading and study/homework with a range of fiction and non-fiction books. We als run a series of extra-curricular clubs and reading and writing competitions.
We have four computers that are available for students to use for homework purposes situated in the Reading Pod.
Open to KS3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) students who have a reading lesson every fortnight.
Students study a different genre, after they read silently while students read to the English tutor or librarian. Support and encouragement is given to all students.
Every Friday morning during tutor time, selected Year 9 students are welcome to be part of the National Teen Book Club where we all discuss books that we are collectively reading.
In addition to this there are a number of extra-curricular activities that take place in the library – see the latest directory for further information.
Volunteers needed! If you can commit to 1 break and lunchtime every fortnight we want to hear from you!
